The BEST part of our trip! We were in Italy for 10 days. We stayed in 3 cities and had day trips to 3 other areas. This tour of the Milky Mountains and Amalfi Coast with Carmine was the highlight of the trip! He was a fantastic guide, answered all of our questions, including those we didn't know we had. He was a wealth of information and was so accommodating to our wishes. He also had us laughing all day. He knew all the best places to stop for breathtaking views. He made us feel welcome from the very beginning. The lunch that was scheduled was the best meal we had on our trip (which is saying something!) Also, the advantages of a private tour over even a small group tour cannot be emphasized enough! This was an affordable option, especially considering the care and attention we received. If I ever have the opportunity to go back to Italy, I would not hesitate to contact Carmine to see what else he could do to make our trip better!
Say YES! To Carmine.... the Best tour guide EVER! Carmine picked up our group in Naples. As soon as we got into his incredibly comfortable van we knew we were in good hands. He is friendly, enthusiastic, and incredibly eager to share his love of the Amalfi Coast. We saw places we would have NEVER have discovered on our own. An animated storyteller and incredibly funny, Carmine was a joy to spend the day with. Lunch was incredible. The most beautiful location and view. And our bathroom stop transformed into an impromptu olive oil tasting! He knew the BEST (and secret) locations to take photos and was happy to stop whenever we asked. I bring small groups of guests to Italy. I have hired guides throughout the country. Some good. Some bad. Carmine is one if the best! I’ve hired him to be our guide when I bring a group back to the Amalfi Coast for several days this coming fall. And know our time with him will be a highlight! Best excursion and guide for Amalfi Coast Mario was our guide for the day. We were a party of 8 visiting for the day. Mario was waiting for us promptly at the cruise port in Naples and explained the schedule of the day. We were disappointed that the boat ride was not possible, but it was due to weather conditions. I really appreciate that the tour operator kept our safety at the top of his list. We met Carmine at one of our stops, and it was a pleasure to speak with him. Mario was very informative as we drove along the Amalfi Coast. We were allowed ample free time at each of our stops and he was always waiting for us right at the agreed upon time and place. I am a travel agent in the US and will recommend your services to my clients. Great tour and fabulous tour operator.
Used this Via Amalfi for a private tour of the coast for my birthday. It was the best ever. Mario picked us up from our hotel and the sky was the limit. He gave us history, we shared stories, he stopped whenever and where ever we wanted. He not only was accommodating but such a kind person. We got to take usies and visit Pompeii, Pasitano, Sorrento and then went to Costantino for lunch. Mario reserved us a table with a great view so I could get the full experience. I loved every minute of it and I am thankful to Mario and Nancy for truly making my 29th birthday the best one yet.
I wish there was an option to give 100 ☆! Carmine was fabulous. I don't think our tour of the Amalfi Coast would have been as enjoyable with anyone else. Everything about the tour was superb! Not only did he have a few surprises lined up for us such as a tour of a 5☆ hotel and the most delicious lunch ever at La Tagliata in Positano but he also surprised us with an olive oil tasting. He went above and beyond to make this a day to remember. Because of his knowledge of this beautiful country I will leave knowing a great deal of the history of Italy. It's just a beautiful place and I hope to come back. And you better believe, Carmine will be the first person I call. Thank you for such a wonderful memorable day! It far exceeded my expectations. Carmine took us to Pompeii, Sorrento, and Positano. We had lunch at a farm to table restaurant that was up high on the cliffs with an incredible view of the water. It was our best meal in Italy. Lots of courses, pasta, wine and dessert. Then he gave us a tour of their gardens, trees, animals, and herb gardens. We got to Pompeii early right when it opened and Carmine had a tour guide waiting for us. Again Carmine knew the right people, the right time and we got to see Pompeii before it was super crowded. In Positano, we walked thru the shops down to the water and enjoyed the sights. On the way back to Naples, he surprised us with the creamiest gelato ever. Back in Naples, he took us thru the old sector seeing beautiful buildings as he explained the history of each one. Carmine is so engaging and you can tell he loves his job and his city and country. Out of everything we did in Italy this day was the BEST!
