Carmine is friendly and knowledgeable. He really knows the Amalfi Coast. Because there was time left at the end of our tour he drove us through parts of his home city, Naples, that we would not otherwise have seen. His love and passion for Naples and the surrounding countryside were clearly evident.
AMAZING CARMINE AMALFI COAST TOUR. Let me start by saying from the moment we met Carmine, he treated us all like we were his family! He was warm and kind and we could just tell that it was going to be an amazing day! The tour he took us on was spectacular and the pictures will remind me of that once in a lifetime experience! The farm to table lunch that we were served was beyond words and our expectations! The wine was smooth and delicious, the servers were adorable and attentive and just nice. I did not want that experience to end! If you want to have a truly amazing experience and tour of the Amalfi coast, you will find it with Carmine. What a wonderful day we spent with Carmine. So much beauty to see in Amalfi and Postitano. Our Farm to Table lunch was the Highlight of the tour! Eating with the locals and enjoying food that was prepared fresh from their local gardens. Delicious!!!! The narrow roads were a bit intense at times as we watched the ballet of all the tour buses!! We were thankful we were in a private van. Definitely would recommend this tour if you find yourselves in this beautiful area of Italy.
DO THIS!!!! If you are staying on the Amalfi Coast you MUST do a day trip with Carmine. As fun filled a day as you could ask for. He gives you a very informative and entertaining history of the area. We stopped in Ravello, a beautiful spot then on to Positano for a lunch at a mountainside farm to table restaurant, Fattoria La Tagliata that is simply the best meal and view you will ever experience. Went though several other towns along the coast too. Ran in to traffic as we got to Sorrento so he came up with a solid plan B. Sitting in city traffic would have taken the glow off a great day and we don't feel we missed anything by not doing that part of his tour. The views are breathtaking as are the winding mountain roads (not for the faint of heart or backseat drivers!) His car is clean, well maintained and he takes a lot of pride in what he does. Worth every euro!! GRAZIE Carmine!
Best tour of our Mediterranean cruise My husband, a family friend and myself were met by Manuel at the cruise ship terminal for our private tour. (Unexpectantly our tour for 4 ended up being just 3). He was there waiting as we departed our ship and we were on our way. Our initial itinerary was to visit 3 towns along the Amalfi Coast. However, after further discussion and some recommendations by Manuel, we ended up with a unique itinerary specific to our desire to see and experience as much as we could in 8 hours. He was very flexible, committed to making sure we were back at the Port on time and excited to show us the best of his homeland. Manuel was wonderful. I just can’t say enough. We visited a limoncello factory, Sorrento, Positano, Pompeii and stopped at several road side stops to take pictures and shop. In addition, my hubby and I were celebrating our wedding anniversary. Manuel had planned for us to have a special lunch in Positano (with breathtaking views of the coastline) and everyone was so kind , wishing us well and providing champagne. They made us feel so special and the food and view at the farm to table restaurant was breathtaking. I have already recommended Manuel and Carmine to others. We plan to return and will definitely tour with them again. This day on Amalfi Coast was the best. It was worth every dime. My suggestion is to spend the money to have an experienced driver, to be in small group, and to have a knowledgeable and personable tour guide. Oh, and I can’t forget, if you’re lucky enough to have Manuel as your guide, ask him to serenade you. What a voice. Not to be missed. Thanks guys for the best day ever on the Amalfi Coast.
